Matt Weave

·      Matt weaves are produced by extending plain weave in both vertical and horizontal direction.

·      The smallest matt weave is matt.

·      2 ends and 2 picks act in the same manner in the smallest matt

·      The tear strength of matt weave is very high.

·      Due to the great number of floats the surface of matt weave fabric is very smooth.

Matt weaves are of four types

1.     Regular matt

2.     Irregular matt

3.     Stitch matt

4.     Fancy matt
